United States: Bid Deposit and Payment Information

Registration

Registration to bid is free of charge, whether you are bidding in person, online or by proxy. You may be required to pay a refundable bid deposit.

Bid Deposits

• Domestic bidders: In most cases, you don't have to place a deposit if you are bidding in person.

• Foreign bidders: Unless you have made prior arrangements with Ritchie Bros., you must place a refundable deposit equaling 25% of the total expected purchases or US$25,000, whichever is higher.

• Online bidders: Depending on your bidding history, you may be required to place a refundable 25% bid deposit when you register to bid.

Bid Deposit Methods

* Place a bid deposit by credit card or view wire transfer deposit information.

Winning bidders participating in US-based auctions will have the option(s) to pay through one of the following payment methods once you start checking out:

Debit card, up to $50,000 USD in accordance to your transaction limits with your bank.

Credit card, up to $50,000 USD per transaction, subject to a 2.95% payment processor fee.

Bank Transfer (requires 4 business days to process), with no limits.

Wire Transfer

You will be provided the specific wire transfer details upon completing your checkout. This will also be present on the invoice you’ll receive upon completing your checkout.

IMPORTANT: Wire transfer details have changed. Please ensure the details used to send your wire transfer match what’s displayed on the invoice.
