Europe: Bid Deposit and Payment Information
Registration
Registration to bid is free of charge, whether you are bidding in person, online or by proxy. You may be required to pay a refundable bid deposit.
Bid Deposits
On-site bidders: Unless you have made prior arrangements with Ritchie Bros., you must place a refundable deposit equaling 25% of the total expected purchases or €10,000, whichever is higher.
Online bidders: Depending on your bidding history, you may be required to place a refundable bid deposit of 25% or €10,000, whichever is greater, when you register to bid.

Additional Notes
The Compendium of Ethical Obligations of public auction houses, approved by the Order of 21 February 2012, applies to Voluntary Sales Operators ("Opérateur de Ventes Volontaires"). This code of conduct is available by written request.
A written appeal may be sent to the Government Commissioner to the French Auction Market Authority to formulate a claim which may propose an amicable solution to disputes (claims may be submitted by e-mail via www.conseildesventes.fr).
